At the IISS Prague Defence Summit, SSB President Haluk Görgün met with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte to discuss Turkey’s growing defense capabilities and their contribution to NATO’s collective deterrence and future vision.

SSB President Haluk Görgün announced that Turkey’s defense and aerospace exports rose by 97.3% in August 2025 to $834 million, bringing total exports for January–August to $5.418 billion — a 45% year-on-year increase.

Under a new agreement between HAVELSAN and Egypt’s Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI), joint production of vertical take-off UAVs and unmanned ground vehicles has officially begun in Egypt — marking a strategic milestone in Turkey-Egypt defense cooperation.

HAVELSAN has signed an agreement with UAE-based defense company CALIDUS to develop an advanced simulator ecosystem for the B-250 light attack and trainer aircraft, enabling pilots to master all operational scenarios before entering the cockpit.

ULAK Communications has been awarded the highest qualification level — the “A Certificate” — under SSB’s Industrial Competence Evaluation and Support Program (EYDEP), confirming its excellence in R&D, production, and technology capabilities.

SSB President Haluk Görgün hailed the inclusion of five Turkish defense firms in the Defense News Top 100 list as “a result of our engineers’ dedication, the synergy of our sector, and the trust of our nation,” emphasizing sustainable growth and full independence.

TUSAŞ has risen three places to 47th in the Defense News Top 100 list, highlighting its growing influence and consistent performance in the global aerospace and defense market.

Five Turkish defense giants made the Defense News Top 100 list: ASELSAN ranked 43rd, TUSAŞ 47th, Roketsan 71st, ASFAT 78th, and MKE 80th. ASFAT climbed 16 spots.
