Turkey's defense industry achieved $10 billion in exports in 2025, driven by two decades of state investment and strategic support. The sector continues its growth trajectory as European nations reassess security dependencies.

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated that Turkey views significant potential for joint development and production of unmanned aerial vehicles with Japan. Emphasizing that both countries possess complementary capabilities, Fidan outlined Turkey's objective to deepen defense-industrial relations with Tokyo.

Baykar has signed its first export agreement for the Kızılelma unmanned combat aircraft with Indonesia. The deal covers delivery of 12 units starting in 2028, strengthening Turkish defense industry's position in the global high-technology market.

Turkish defense technology pioneer Baykar achieved $2.2 billion in exports during 2025, maintaining its position as the global leader in armed unmanned aerial vehicle exports. The company generated 88 percent of its total revenue from international sales.

Baykar, the Turkish unmanned aerial vehicle manufacturer, signed a strategic partnership agreement with Italian firm Gruppo Esea at the SAHA 2026 fair. The agreement will establish a fully automated robotic production line to significantly increase manufacturing capacity.

Baykar's Mizrak system, featuring over 1000 kilometers range and AI-enabled autonomous capabilities, will be showcased for the first time at SAHA 2026. The platform is designed with deep strike capability, high lethality, and flexible mission profiles.

During an economic mission to Turkey, Belgian Queen Mathilde visited Baykar's National Technology Center. Selçuk Bayraktar presented the company's unmanned aerial vehicles and kamikaze platforms to the delegation.
