ASELSAN earned second place in the Defense, Aerospace and Space category at the PCB Technology Leadership Awards 2015 with its AVPX-C4C avionic processor board, reinforcing Turkey’s engineering strength.

Turkish Parliamentary Defense Committee Chairman Faruk Özlü stated that Türkiye has undergone a significant defense industry transformation over the past 13 years, with many major projects entering serial production. He emphasized that Türkiye is now a global player in defense.

A classification services contract has been signed for Türkiye’s largest military vessel, the Landing Platform Dock (LPD). The high-technology amphibious ship is planned to be delivered within six years.

Five advanced research projects in defense, aviation and space technologies will be formalized under the Researcher Training Program for the Defense Industry (SAYP). The projects, carried out jointly by TAI, Gazi University and METU, aim to develop critical technologies and train qualified researchers.

The updated Sanayileşme Portal by SSM now hosts 366 companies and 1,349 product entries, strengthening local participation and expanding Turkey’s defense supply chain.

TÜMOSAN General Manager Kurtuluş Öğün stated that the indigenous powerpack project for the ALTAY tank will elevate Turkey in diesel engine and transmission technologies.
