TUSAŞ CEO Mehmet Demiroğlu announced that a long-awaited development for the HÜRJET’s engine could be revealed very soon. While major programs like KAAN, ANKA-3, and GÖKBEY progress as planned, TUSAŞ aims for a record-breaking $12 billion turnover by 2034.

At the FEINDEF 2025 Defense Exhibition in Madrid, Türkiye and Spain signed an industrial cooperation agreement allowing Spanish companies to participate in the production of 24 HÜRJET aircraft — paving the way for an official export contract.

Two years have passed since Turkey’s first indigenous jet trainer, HÜRJET, took to the skies. Developed by TUSAŞ, the aircraft has achieved major milestones in its testing and qualification phases. TUSAŞ CEO Mehmet Demiroğlu marked the anniversary by highlighting HÜRJET’s growing strategic importance for Turkish aviation.

Turkey’s AKSUNGUR UAV, powered by the domestically developed TEI-PD170 engine, reached 40,000 feet—setting a new altitude record for the national powerplant. The flight also tested ASELSAN’s AF500 camera and ASPİLSAN’s heated national battery at high altitude.

TUSAŞ announced that Turkey’s indigenous jet trainer HÜRJET has reached 1.2 Mach speed, marking a major milestone in supersonic flight. SSB President Haluk Görgün described the achievement as a new milestone in Turkey’s independent aerospace vision.

Under a new agreement between TUSAŞ and Delta-V, Turkey will launch a domestically produced micro-satellite into orbit using a national launch system for the first time. This milestone positions Turkey among a select group of nations with independent launch capability and could significantly impact future military and missile technologies.

German Chief of Defense Gen. Carsten Breuer visited Ankara at the invitation of Turkish Chief of General Staff Gen. Metin Gürak, holding key meetings at the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB), ASELSAN, and TUSAŞ to discuss defense technology cooperation and strategic partnership opportunities.

Following reciprocal visits by Presidents Erdoğan and Prabowo, Turkish defense firms are accelerating cooperation in Indonesia. ASELSAN has opened its Indonesia branch, HAVELSAN is establishing a local office, and TUSAŞ continues joint projects including ANKA and modernization programs.
