BREAKING NEWS
Türkiye’s rapidly advancing unmanned systems ecosystem has gained a powerful new asset: the fully autonomous smart drone station KORGAN-M. Developed entirely through domestic engineering, KORGAN-M was showcased at the Kalecik Test Center, demonstrating its ability to conduct missions without an operator and initiate flights autonomously with a single command. The system stands out for its capability to operate independently of GNSS/GPS signals, ensuring uninterrupted performance even in electronic warfare environments.
Optimized for military and tactical operations by SAVX Teknoloji, KORGAN-M functions as a 24/7 autonomous deployment hub capable of cloud-based mission planning, real-time tracking and AI-powered data analysis. Integrated seamlessly with TİTRA Teknoloji’s SEYYAH Visual Navigation System, the platform can generate near real-time intelligence, significantly enhancing situational awareness and operational flexibility on the field.
During the unveiling event, TİTRA General Manager Ekrem Ünlü emphasized that KORGAN-M reflects Türkiye’s rapidly rising engineering capabilities in autonomous systems. He noted that its AI-supported decision mechanisms, integrated sensor architecture and resilience against electronic warfare make it the only fully integrated smart drone box of its kind worldwide. Ünlü added that the system is poised to revolutionize not only military operations but also civilian domains such as border security, facility protection and disaster response.
SAVX Teknoloji Founder Abdullah Aktaş highlighted the long engineering process behind the system, explaining that KORGAN-M can be controlled from thousands of kilometers away with minimal latency. Its AI-enhanced environmental awareness sensors analyze wind, precipitation, humidity and temperature to autonomously decide whether flight conditions are suitable. The redundant power system ensures continuous mission capability, even in the event of power disruptions.
The drone integrated into KORGAN-M features a 40-minute flight endurance and a range of 15 kilometers, equipped with electro-optical and thermal imaging systems for day-night target tracking. After completing its mission, the drone makes an automatic landing into its station, where it is rapidly recharged and becomes ready for the next flight within minutes. AI-powered object detection and tracking algorithms reduce operator workload and accelerate the decision-making process by providing real-time data.
With its advanced autonomy, resilience and intelligent operational architecture, KORGAN-M establishes a new standard in Türkiye’s unmanned system capabilities. The smart station is expected to enter the Turkish Armed Forces’ inventory soon and gain significant interest in allied nations across global markets.
