BREAKING NEWS
The Ministry of National Defense announced that the medium-range air defense system Hisar-O successfully completed its test firing at the Aksaray firing range. In the footage shared through the Ministry’s social media accounts, the system was seen detecting the target with precision and destroying it with a direct hit. This achievement once again highlights Türkiye’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its air defense capabilities through domestically developed technologies.
The firing test, conducted by the Air Defense Command, took place at the Hisar Test Firing Range. Officials stated that Hisar-O was tested under various altitude and threat scenarios, successfully meeting all operational requirements and neutralizing the target with high accuracy. Each new test further enhances the system’s field performance and reinforces the air defense shield of the Turkish Armed Forces.
Hisar-O stands out as a modern, medium-range air defense system designed to provide regional protection against airborne threats. Developed entirely with national resources, the system integrates radar units, command-and-control elements, launch vehicles, and missiles, offering robust and reliable protection. Defense authorities noted that following the successful test, broader integration trials and serial-production preparations are continuing at full speed.
Türkiye’s advancements in the defense industry continue to yield concrete results, particularly in air defense technologies. The consistent performance demonstrated by Hisar-O in successive tests shows that the country’s domestic air defense architecture is becoming increasingly capable and competitive at international standards.
