BREAKING NEWS
One of the major highlights of the 17th International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF 2025) was the unveiling of DASAL Havacılık Teknolojileri’s new heavy-lift cargo drone, the PUHU C100. Developed under Altınay Defense Technologies, this innovative platform represents Türkiye’s growing capability in autonomous logistics and unmanned air mobility.
The PUHU C100 is designed to meet critical supply needs in remote or hostile environments. With a payload capacity of up to 100 kilograms, 35 km range, and high endurance, the drone can autonomously determine optimal routes and deliver supplies via an automatic hook system without the need for landing. It can transport critical cargo such as ammunition, medical equipment, or logistics materials directly to the designated coordinates, providing uninterrupted support in combat or disaster zones.
Murat Koç, General Manager of DASAL, explained that the PUHU C100 was designed primarily for the Turkish Armed Forces and allied nations to address demanding operational environments autonomously. Building on experience from the previous PUHU C75, Koç stated, “PUHU C100 was developed entirely with our own resources. Unlike its predecessor, it uses a fixed battery system, enabling the vehicle to recharge via standard electric charging stations. This design improves reliability, efficiency, and ease of use.”
The drone’s performance parameters are impressive: an operational altitude of 3,000 meters, long-endurance flight time, and robust resistance to electronic warfare (EW) conditions. DASAL engineers integrated anti-jamming antennas, local navigation, vision-assisted navigation, and a fully indigenous autopilot system, making the PUHU C100 one of the few UAVs globally capable of functioning effectively in contested electromagnetic environments.
Koç added that DASAL’s 15 years of UAV development experience enables the company to design all structural, avionics, and software components in-house, ensuring end-to-end integration and rapid deployment. “There is strong interest from Western markets,” he said, noting that international collaborations and co-development agreements are being pursued during IDEF 2025.
With the PUHU C100, Türkiye is taking another significant step toward autonomous logistics independence, offering a robust, field-proven alternative in the growing market of heavy-lift unmanned cargo systems.
