The historic Italian aerospace company Piaggio Aerospace has officially unveiled its renewed corporate identity along with its next-generation aircraft, the Avanti NX (Next), following its acquisition by Baykar. The launch event highlighted not only the latest evolution of the iconic P.180 Avanti platform but also the company’s broader strategic transformation under its new ownership. This milestone signals a fresh chapter aimed at strengthening Piaggio Aerospace’s position in the global business aviation market.
The Avanti NX represents more than just an upgraded version of the P.180 Avanti. It symbolizes a comprehensive shift in customer support, after-sales services, and operational philosophy. Company executives emphasized that the NX model embodies a renewed focus on efficiency, sustainability, and enhanced user experience. The Avanti platform has long been recognized in the business jet segment for its distinctive aerodynamic design, high cruising speed, and fuel efficiency. With the NX, these core strengths are expected to be further refined and modernized.
The launch ceremony opened with remarks from Piaggio Aerospace Chairman and Baykar CEO Haluk Bayraktar, who underlined the importance of honoring the company’s legacy while embracing bold transformation. He stressed that Piaggio’s future would be shaped not by circumstances, but by the determination, expertise, and unity of its workforce. His speech reflected confidence in rebuilding the brand into a competitive and innovative aerospace player.
During the event, Baykar Group Design and Brand Director Alberto Caruso presented the new logo and visual identity, while CEO Giovanni Tomassini shared insights into the company’s forward-looking strategy. In addition to the aircraft unveiling, a newly designed corporate website and a refreshed employee uniform collection were introduced, reinforcing the company’s renewed brand vision.
The event concluded with a symbolic gesture representing the partnership between Baykar and Piaggio Aerospace, as employees were served Turkish tea and delight. Commemorative Piaggio-branded gift boxes were also distributed, highlighting the growing collaboration between Turkish and Italian aerospace industries.
