Minister Mustafa Varank tested Türkiye’s first indigenous turbojet engine developed by Kale Ar-Ge. The engine will power SOM and other future national missile systems.

Developed in Antalya, the indigenous mobile early warning air defense system KALKA provides high-precision protection against drone and UAV threats, offering detection and jamming up to 5 kilometers.

TUSAŞ has developed the AI-supported “Hürjet 270” engineering simulator to accelerate Hürjet’s testing and evaluation phases. The system will significantly contribute to the aircraft’s development with real-time scenarios.

Turkey’s defense industry achieved major milestones in 2019, advancing air, land, naval, missile and electronic systems while strengthening the operational capabilities of national security forces.

Minister Mustafa Varank emphasized at the Turkish Defense Industry Summit that young innovators will drive Turkey’s national technology initiative. He highlighted the growing strength of domestic defense technologies.

SAHA EXPO 2018 will feature the latest technologies of Turkey’s defense industry. ASELSAN will initiate the localization of more than 170 imported products through domestic suppliers.

At the EFES-2018 Exercise, 35 Turkish defense companies displayed their latest technologies. From UAVs to armored vehicles, many systems were showcased for the first time.

The ASELSAN-produced MİLKAR-5A5 Convoy Protection System has been integrated into Kirpi armored vehicles, entering the Turkish Armed Forces inventory with advanced protection capabilities.
