BREAKING NEWS
Türkiye’s defense industry continues to attract global attention with groundbreaking innovations. One of the latest advancements is the Ebabil technology, a major step forward in the field of armor-piercing ammunition. Developed by HC Ar-Ge, the system was showcased for the first time at the IDEF’23 Defense Industry Fair, where it received significant interest from industry professionals.
HC Ar-Ge’s General Manager Cengiz Durmuş emphasized that Ebabil represents a world-class innovation. The technology is applied to bullet cores through a special process, significantly increasing projectile speed and kinetic energy, making it capable of penetrating even the most resilient armor. One of its key strengths is its versatility: it can be adapted for use in a wide range of calibers, from 6.35 mm handgun rounds to 175 mm howitzer shells.
The development of Ebabil is the result of over a decade of dedicated research and development. Test results conducted on armor steel have demonstrated the impressive destructive power of ammunition produced with this technology. Experts highlight that Ebabil could potentially alter battlefield dynamics, offering a new level of capability against armored threats.
Completely developed with domestic and national resources, Ebabil is expected to enter the Turkish Armed Forces’ inventory in the near future. Beyond national defense, it also positions Türkiye as a strong contender in the global defense market, while providing a strategic advantage in counter-terrorism and national security operations.
