Canik participated as platinum sponsor at the BORAN VIII International Sniper Competition, organized by Javdestur under the support of the Ministry of Interior, the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB), and the Gendarmerie General Command. Hosted by the Foça Gendarmerie Commando Training Command, the event showcased Canik's weapon systems alongside its training and marksmanship activities. The Canik Pistol Shooting Competition, coordinated by Canik Academy, featured participants demonstrating shooting skills across courses with varied scenarios. An exhibition area displayed Canik's military and law enforcement weapon systems along with product and accessory offerings.
Canik Ordnance holds a pioneering position in Turkey's defense industrial ecosystem for developing heavy machine gun and medium-caliber gun systems. The company delivers integrated weapon solutions for land and naval platforms, addressing the operational requirements of the Turkish Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies. Canik Robotics advances stabilized robotic weapon systems, contributing to the development of remote weapon stations. These two operational units combine to provide integrated solutions supporting Turkey's defense sector goals in localization and national production.
Live-fire demonstrations showcased Canik's 12.7×99 mm heavy machine gun family across different mission and platform configurations. The M2 QCB heavy machine gun, equipped with a suppressed barrel configuration mounted on a tripod, demonstrated precision capability through reduced-signature and muzzle-flash-reduced fire. Firing from a single mount, the M2 QCB exhibited controlled rate of fire and adaptability to multiple platforms. The M3 heavy machine gun integrated onto the Naval Flex 50 naval mount demonstrated high cyclic rate, achieving 1,200 rounds per minute, showcasing sustained firepower to attending military personnel.
Heavy machine gun systems represent fundamental weapon platforms for NATO-standard land and naval vehicles. In global defense industry practice, the U.S. M2 Browning system and various European heavy machine gun designs are widely deployed. Canik's 12.7×99 mm systems align with these international standards while enabling modular integration on land and naval platforms. The VENOM LR medium-caliber gun (30×113 mm) and TRAKON CORE 30 Remote Weapon Station, both displayed at the event, demonstrate Canik Robotics' expertise in stabilized weapon systems.
During the Distinguished Observer Day program, the Deputy Commander of the Gendarmerie General Command, General Aykut Tanrıverdi, and accompanying delegation, senior commanders, and international delegations from over 20 countries visited the Canik stand for system briefings. Canik Academy Director İsmail Dut noted that systems proven in operational service with the Turkish Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies generate international market confidence, accelerating export performance. Field-proven success and trust translate into sustainable strategic partnerships on the global stage.
