Developed by Otokar, the AKREP II stands out as Türkiye’s latest next-generation armored platform, combining advanced technology with combat-proven expertise. As a supplier of land vehicles to NATO and the United Nations, Otokar has ensured that AKREP II successfully passed all military-standard endurance and performance tests. Its low-profile design, high mine protection, and integrated armor solutions provide superior survivability while maintaining mobility in harsh terrain.
One of the key technical features of the AKREP II is its ability to integrate weapon systems up to 90 mm, offering flexibility for various calibers and turrets. During firing trials, the vehicle demonstrated excellent performance, underlining its role as a versatile combat platform. Equipped with an advanced four-wheel drive system capable of “crab movement,” the AKREP II delivers superior maneuverability across diverse battlefield conditions. Furthermore, with its diesel, electric, and hybrid propulsion options, the vehicle not only ensures operational versatility but also reduces thermal and acoustic signatures, making detection by adversaries more difficult.
The AKREP II is also designed with a modern electronic architecture, enabling remote control, driver assistance, and autonomous driving capabilities. Thanks to this infrastructure, it can perform a wide range of missions including reconnaissance, surveillance, forward observation, and even air defense integration. Tested by several countries, the vehicle has proven itself on the international stage, while Otokar continues to work on modular variants tailored to different operational needs.
With its reduced detectability, multi-role adaptability, and advanced electronic systems, the AKREP II is preparing to enter serial production as one of Türkiye’s most competitive armored platforms, ready to serve both domestic requirements and export markets.
