The Turkish Air Force is strengthening its independence by shifting pilot training and combat preparation to a fully domestic ecosystem built around HÜRKUŞ, HÜRJET, KAAN and national simulators.

HAVELSAN is expanding its flight simulator production capacity with a new facility in Ankara, where 16 devices will be developed simultaneously and more than 30 simulators produced annually.

Construction of three ship traffic surveillance stations established in the TRNC under the Eastern Mediterranean Vessel Traffic Services Project has been completed. The system is expected to become operational in the second half of 2026.

HAVELSAN’s Boeing 737NG FTD Level 2 simulator received dual certification from Turkey’s civil aviation authority, marking a first for domestically produced platforms.

The GÖKSİM Full Flight Simulator, developed by HAVELSAN for the GÖKBEY helicopter, has reached the delivery stage. Pilots will now receive EASA-certified training on the indigenous system.

Following HÜRJET’s export success to Spain, its full mission simulator developed by HAVELSAN will also be delivered. The next-generation system is scheduled to enter service in 2027 in Türkiye and 2028 in Spain.

HAVELSAN aims to increase its capacity by 40% with new facilities while building the future battlespace through ADVENT, SANCAR and AI-integrated defense systems.

Defense Industry President Haluk Görgün announced that the KAAN Technology Facility, built by HAVELSAN within the TUSAŞ campus, will significantly enhance the national fighter jet’s digital capabilities and engineering capacity.
