BREAKING NEWS
MKE completed extensive deliveries to Turkish Armed Forces, security units, defense industry stakeholders and allied nations over the past month. Deliveries included the ninth DENİZHAN-76 National Naval Gun, ALTAY tank main gun system, ALPAY-1 mine-clearing system, electric armored personnel carrier (E-ZPT), MPT-76MH national rifle, MAM-15 anti-material sniper rifle, 2.75-inch rocket motors, 7.62 and 20 mm ammunition, 25 mm munitions, 35 mm GÖKDENİZ weapon system maintenance equipment, 81 and 120 mm mortar ammunition, 155 mm howitzer ammunition, 155 mm artillery fuze, AZAK warhead and various spare parts.
MKE's institutional framework combines centuries of production experience with modern technologies and investments, contributing to Turkey's defense industry goal of complete independence. The company operates across a broad product range from ammunition production to weapon systems. In previous years, MKE expanded its ammunition production capacity across various calibers and types, playing an active role in developing indigenous technology-based weapon systems.
In naval gun technology, where only five nations possess production capability globally, the delivery of the ninth DENİZHAN-76 unit represents a significant achievement for Turkish defense industry. This system will be installed on the 11th vessel constructed under the MİLGEM project. Deliveries of ALTAY tank main gun systems play a critical role in operationalizing Turkey's first national main battle tank. E-ZPT deliveries also indicate serial production progress of Turkey's first electric armored personnel carrier.
MKE's role within the Turkish defense industry ecosystem operates in integrated coordination with other major organizations such as ROKETSAN, ASELSAN and TUSAŞ. Particularly in weapon systems and ammunition production, MKE's capacity forms one of the fundamental prerequisites for operationalizing national platforms such as ALTAY, KAAN, ATAK and HÜRJET. Increasing localization rates and R&D investments continuously enhance MKE's strategic importance.
From an international comparison perspective, MKE's naval gun and ammunition production capacity holds a competitive position at NATO standards and global scale. For instance, the DENİZHAN-76 system operates at the same technological level as comparable German, Italian and Swedish naval guns. Rifle, anti-material weapon and various caliber ammunition production expand Turkey's export potential and contribute to allied nations' supply security.
