Turkey’s defense electronics leader ASELSAN has signed a $158.6 million export contract with a client in the Middle East and Africa for the direct sale of military communication systems. The agreement reinforces ASELSAN’s global presence in tactical and strategic communication technologies.

Developed by TUSAŞ, the AKSUNGUR UAV achieved precise strikes using ASELSAN’s LGK81 and LGK82 laser-guided munitions during a test flight powered by a national engine. The success highlights Türkiye’s growing self-sufficiency in defense technology.

The Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) announced that it will hire 36 contract personnel from fields such as computer, mechanical, electrical-electronics, chemical, naval, metallurgy, industrial, and aerospace engineering. Applications are open until April 18 via the online portal.
