BREAKING NEWS
Baykar has once again showcased Türkiye’s advanced unmanned aerial capabilities with a comprehensive multi-platform test mission. According to information shared by Baykar and its Chairman of the Board, Selçuk Bayraktar, the Bayraktar TB3, Bayraktar KIZILELMA and Bayraktar AKINCI took off sequentially, each executing a different mission profile. The coordinated operation demonstrated not only the individual strengths of the platforms but also their complementary roles in a shared operational environment.
During the test, the Bayraktar TB3 displayed its strike capabilities, reaffirming its precision engagement performance against land and maritime targets. Designed for carrier-capable operations—particularly from platforms like the TCG ANADOLU—TB3’s long-endurance structure and minimal runway requirements highlight its strategic value for Türkiye’s security forces. Meanwhile, Bayraktar KIZILELMA carried out takeoff and landing maneuvers showcasing its agility and combat-oriented flight characteristics. As an unmanned fighter aircraft concept, KIZILELMA stands as one of Türkiye’s most ambitious aviation projects, with plans for it to enter service next year.
The Bayraktar AKINCI participated with operational sortie flights, reflecting its established role within the Turkish armed forces. Known for its long-endurance performance, high-altitude capability and versatile weapons integration, AKINCI executed mission profiles simulating real operational conditions. Together, the three platforms demonstrated the layered strength of Türkiye’s national S/İHA ecosystem and its ability to conduct coordinated unmanned operations.
The test was observed by a high-level Italian delegation visiting the Özdemir Bayraktar National Technology Center. The delegation included Türkiye’s Defense Industry Agency President Haluk Görgün, Italy’s Deputy Defense Minister Matteo Perego di Cremnago, Italian Air Force Commander Lt. Gen. Antonio Conserva, Italian Army Commander Lt. Gen. Carmine Masiello, Italian Navy Deputy Commander Vice Adm. Giuseppe Berutti Bergotto, and Leonardo S.p.A representatives Simone Ungaro and Carlo Gualdaroni. The delegation watched the flight tests firsthand, gaining direct insight into the level of technological advancement achieved by Türkiye’s unmanned aviation sector.
This multi-mission demonstration served not only as a testament to Türkiye’s growing strength in defense technology but also as an important display for international cooperation and interest. With the Bayraktar TB3 and AKINCI already in service, and the Bayraktar KIZILELMA planned for deployment next year, Türkiye continues to enhance its aerial capabilities with a flexible, layered and modern unmanned fleet.
