BREAKING NEWS
The Ministry of National Defense (MoND) has officially announced the start of Denizkurdu-I/2025, one of Turkey’s most extensive naval exercises. Planned and executed by the Turkish Naval Forces Command, the exercise is being conducted simultaneously across all surrounding seas. This year’s iteration features a powerful deployment consisting of 92 ships and 66 aircraft, creating a broad and realistic operational environment.
During the exercise, the command-and-control capabilities of the Naval Forces Headquarters and its subordinate commands will be thoroughly tested. A major focus is placed on evaluating the ability of command personnel to conduct operations in high-threat scenarios. Through complex and realistic mission simulations, participants will work to improve their situational assessment, foresight, and rapid decision-making skills under pressure.
Denizkurdu-I/2025 also aims to strengthen Türkiye’s joint operational competence. Throughout the exercise, coordination with other branches of the Armed Forces will be carried out to test joint operational procedures. This ensures that naval, air, and land elements can function together effectively within the same operational theater.
The exercise will continue until October 10, featuring extensive maneuvers, live-fire drills, and command-and-control implementations. Denizkurdu-I/2025 not only reinforces Türkiye’s deterrence at sea but also enhances the readiness and capability of its naval personnel.
