HAVELSAN delivered the ADVENT Combat Management System to Romania's Navy Command as part of the CAm.ROMAN corvette sale. Under the contract framework, the system was operationalized alongside the vessel in a version tailored to Romania's operational requirements. This achievement represents a significant indicator of Turkish defense industry's international recognition in software and system integration.
HAVELSAN developed ADVENT in close cooperation with Turkey's Navy Command. The system employs a force-centric approach that integrates multiple platforms around a single operational picture rather than focusing on a single vessel. ADVENT encompasses all operational processes including threat assessment, decision support, target detection, and weapon and sensor control, providing command echelons with superior situational awareness and effectiveness. Its modular architecture enables the company to deliver customizable solutions for different customer profiles.
The ADVENT system plays a critical role in Turkey's defense industry ecosystem in software and system integration. Built on an infrastructure comprising millions of lines of code developed by Turkish engineers, the system first entered service in 2019 aboard the Ada-class corvette TCG Kınalıada. It was subsequently integrated into an increasing number of platforms including TCG Ufuk, TCG Anadolu, and CAm.ROMAN. This localization success demonstrates Turkey's capability to achieve complete software and system control over its naval platforms independently.
ADVENT offers interoperability with allied forces through various protocols and can be adapted to platforms ranging from small boats to large combatants, from shore-based command centers to unmanned systems. It operates across surface, subsurface, and air operational domains on numerous platforms. HAVELSAN has further expanded this scope with the ADVENT ROTA mission management system specialized for unmanned maritime vehicles. Prior to the Romania delivery, ADVENT had been exported to eight countries across different continents including Pakistan, Indonesia, Ukraine, Qatar, Oman, Nigeria, and Malaysia.
HAVELSAN continues developing ADVENT with an artificial intelligence-enhanced version called "ADVENT AI" in recent years. The Romania export is expected to mark ADVENT's first step into NATO geography and open the door for similar partnerships in the coming period. Additionally, HAVELSAN supports the export of indigenous systems such as the YELKOVAN Electronic Warfare System developed jointly with TÜBİTAK and the TARGAN 12.7 mm automated stabilized weapon system. Turkish defense industry capabilities will be showcased at the Ankara Summit scheduled for July 7-8, with significant interest expected in ADVENT and related systems.
