MOSHIP is a specialized submarine rescue mother ship, designed by Istanbul Shipyard for various surface and underwater rescue operations and firefighting in different sea conditions. Weighing 4000 tons, this ship is certified with both NATO NSRS and the US SRDRS system and can operate with an internal US SRDRS SRV A-Frame. Equipped with a diesel-electric propulsion system that enables flexible power sharing and high-precision position holding, MOSHIP meets military norms, standards, and class rules with its unique offshore design. Its primary mission is to conduct underwater and surface search and rescue operations in various sea conditions. A key feature of this ship is its ability to detect submarines in need of life support and provide evacuation to the crew at depths of up to 600 meters and pressures of 5 bar.
