The Underway Replenishment Combat Support Ship (DİMDEG) project, primarily aimed at meeting the Turkish Naval Forces' needs for water, food, ammunition, spare parts, medical supplies, and fuel, is a significant undertaking by the Sefine Shipyard. This vessel, notable for its high domestic content rate, is also capable of serving as a command and control ship. Designed for non-combat operations, it can support humanitarian aid, anti-piracy efforts, disaster relief, search and rescue, and evacuation of non-combatants. The contract for DİMDEG, signed on June 28, 2018, between the Defense Industry Presidency (SSB) and Sefine Shipyard, entails the delivery of the ship to the Naval Forces Command within 58 months. According to Savunmasanayist, various Turkish companies, including ASELSAN and HAVELSAN, are contributing to the project by providing combat system integration, navigation aids, communication systems, and more.
