One of the strongest global representatives of the Turkish defense industry, SARSILMAZ, is preparing to take part in the World Defense Show (WDS) 2026, which will be held in Saudi Arabia between 8–12 February. At the exhibition, the company aims to introduce its next-generation weapons and weapon systems—most notably the 25 mm TRM Cannon—to international end users, military delegations, and key decision-makers.
With a history spanning more than 140 years, SARSILMAZ stands among the leading defense industry companies that export to over 80 countries and develop advanced weapon systems for military and security forces. Thanks to its R&D-focused production philosophy, strong engineering capabilities, and broad product portfolio, the company will showcase a comprehensive range of systems at WDS 2026 that can meet the operational needs of a modern army.
Among the standout systems on display will be the 25 mm TRM Cannon, developed by TR Mekatronik under the SARSILMAZ–TUSAŞ partnership. In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to examine heavy machine guns in various calibers, infantry rifles, and new-generation models of the SAR9 pistol family. Products expected to attract significant international interest include the 12.7 mm SAR 127 MT and 7.62 mm SAR 762 MT machine guns, as well as the 7.62x39 SAR15T and 7.62x51 MPT76 infantry rifles.
During the exhibition, SARSILMAZ also aims to further strengthen and advance its ongoing cooperation with key Saudi defense industry institutions such as Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) and General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI). Company officials emphasize that WDS 2026 will serve as a strategic platform to deepen existing partnerships in the Middle East and pave the way for new defense projects in the region.
World Defense Show 2026 is expected to host nearly 800 companies from around 80 countries, with more than 440 official delegations attending on behalf of their nations. With over 100,000 visitors and close to 1,000 accredited media representatives anticipated, the event will once again stand out as one of the most important global platforms for cooperation, communication, and strategic engagement in the defense industry.
