Turkey's premier technology and aviation event Teknofest wrapped up its Southeast edition in Şanlıurfa. Leading defense companies including Baykar, ROKETSAN, and Turkish Aerospace Industries showcased their platforms and future deliveries.

ASELSAN and the Defense Industry Agency have signed a €2.46 billion contract for the procurement of hybrid air defense systems. The agreement represents a significant step in strengthening Turkey's air defense capabilities through integrated technology solutions.

Defense Industry Agency President Haluk Görgün announced at TEKNOFEST that Turkey ranks 11th globally among defense export nations. The sector achieved 10.1 billion dollars in exports last year and signed approximately 18 billion dollars in new contracts.

Teknofest Southeast in Şanlıurfa showcases a full-scale mock-up of Turkey's KAAN fighter jet alongside indigenous defense platforms including Bayraktar TB2 and Akıncı. The five-day festival combines advanced technology exhibitions with educational activities and celebrates the region's cultural heritage.

HAVELSAN engaged with Azerbaijan's defense sector at the 6th Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition (ADEX 2026) in Baku. The company highlighted growing interest in its command and control systems, simulation technologies, and autonomous systems solutions from Azerbaijani partners.

The domestic simulator transformation accelerated after 2015, with deliveries of ATAK helicopter, Hürkuş, Hürjet, and KAAN engineering simulators.
