BREAKING NEWS
Türkiye’s defense industry has added another domestically developed high-tech system to its inventory. Under the coordination of the Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB), ASISGUARD has completed the development and qualification of the AGGÖZ Gimbal 275, a next-generation electro-optical reconnaissance, surveillance, and targeting system designed to enhance the operational capabilities of Türkiye’s security forces.
AGGÖZ Gimbal 275, the result of long-term R&D efforts, delivers high performance under challenging field conditions. The system features a high-resolution day camera for long-range reconnaissance and a cooled thermal imager that provides uninterrupted visibility at night and in adverse weather. It is also equipped with a laser range finder, automatic target tracking, and advanced image stabilization, enabling operators to obtain precise and stable imagery even under vibration and movement.
Lightweight and robust, AGGÖZ can be easily integrated onto both stationary and mobile platforms, including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), land vehicles, and naval systems. It is designed for critical missions such as border security, counter-terrorism operations, reconnaissance, and surveillance, providing real-time situational awareness to units in the field.
ASISGUARD CEO Barış Düzgün emphasized that AGGÖZ was developed to meet the modern battlefield’s most pressing requirement — visibility and early detection. “In today’s combat environment, seeing first is survival. AGGÖZ serves as the ‘national eye’ of our forces, enabling early, accurate, and long-range threat detection across multiple domains,” he stated. Düzgün added that the company continues to work on next-generation platforms to further enhance system performance and expand operational versatility.
By introducing AGGÖZ Gimbal 275 into service, Türkiye strengthens its pursuit of technological independence in electro-optical systems. With a high level of local content and advanced engineering design, AGGÖZ not only replaces imported equivalents but also positions Türkiye as a competitive producer in the global surveillance systems market.
