Turkey's domestically developed ASELFLIR-500 electro-optical system, created by state-run defense contractor ASELSAN, has been successfully integrated into South Africa's multi-role tactical aircraft Mwari. This integration expands ASELSAN's international presence while enhancing the aircraft's operational capabilities and competitive standing in global markets.

ASELSAN's ASELFLIR-500 electro-optical system has been successfully integrated into South Africa's Paramount Aerospace Industries-developed Mwari manned aircraft. The integration expands the use of Turkish defense technology on international aviation platforms while significantly enhancing Mwari's reconnaissance and surveillance capabilities.

ASELSAN CEO Ahmet Akyol announced that the ASELFLIR-500 electro-optical system successfully detected a target at a distance of 211 kilometers.

Developed by ASISGUARD with national resources, the AGGÖZ Gimbal 275 electro-optical reconnaissance and surveillance system — adaptable for air, land, and naval platforms — has successfully passed field tests and officially entered service with Turkish security forces.
