Turkey's Defense Industry Agency has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for the development of indigenous hunter/interceptor drone systems to counter NATO Class 1 and Class 2 mini, micro, and tactical UAV threats. Application deadline is July 31, 2026.

The head of Turkey's Defense Industry Agency stated that the Turkish defense sector stands ready to be one of the main forces behind the industrial transformation NATO requires, speaking at the NATO Defense Industry Forum in Ankara ahead of the alliance's summit.

Under an agreement with the Defense Industry Agency, ASELSAN aims to develop a domestically-produced superconducting quantum processor unit within four years. The project will reduce dependence on foreign sources for one of the most critical components of quantum computers.
