SSB President Haluk Görgün announced that Turkey’s defense and aerospace industry exports reached $8.5 billion in 2025, marking a historic milestone for the sector.

Turkey’s defense and aerospace exports rose by 30 percent in the January–November period, reaching $7.4 billion and surpassing all previous annual records.

ASELSAN and the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) have signed new contracts worth €1,122,139,260 to expand ongoing air defense system serial-production projects. Deliveries will take place between 2027 and 2030.

At the IISS Prague Defence Summit, SSB President Haluk Görgün met with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte to discuss Turkey’s growing defense capabilities and their contribution to NATO’s collective deterrence and future vision.

SSB President Haluk Görgün announced that Turkey’s defense and aerospace exports rose by 97.3% in August 2025 to $834 million, bringing total exports for January–August to $5.418 billion — a 45% year-on-year increase.

ULAK Communications has been awarded the highest qualification level — the “A Certificate” — under SSB’s Industrial Competence Evaluation and Support Program (EYDEP), confirming its excellence in R&D, production, and technology capabilities.

SSB President Haluk Görgün emphasized that Türkiye’s defense industry has achieved an 83% localization rate by transforming its strategy into technology and technology into products.

Launched under President Erdoğan’s directive, the “National Competence Initiative” has reached 87,061 participants in its first year, empowering thousands through defense industry training programs.
