ASELSAN, a leading company in Turkey’s defense industry, has taken another important step in strengthening the capabilities of the Turkish Armed Forces. The company has successfully completed the first delivery of its DORUK-2 Electro-Optical Sensor Systems, designed and produced with domestic resources. This milestone underscores ASELSAN’s role in providing cutting-edge, indigenously developed solutions to meet the needs of national security forces.
The DORUK-2 system is specifically designed for border security, outpost operations, reconnaissance and surveillance missions, as well as the guidance of artillery units. With its advanced electro-optical features, the system offers high-resolution imaging capabilities both day and night, directly contributing to the success of military operations under varying conditions.
ASELSAN’s General Manager, Ahmet Akyol, emphasized the importance of this delivery in a statement shared on social media. Highlighting the company’s commitment to “always achieving better and the best,” Akyol stressed that the deployment of DORUK-2 systems is not only a technological achievement but also a reflection of the Turkish defense industry’s dedication to innovation and indigenous production.
With the deployment of DORUK-2, the Turkish Armed Forces are expected to gain enhanced precision and effectiveness in reconnaissance, surveillance, and security missions. Defense experts note that the system will allow quicker and more effective responses to potential threats, particularly along border regions.
