On the third day of IDEF 2025, Turkey’s Defense Industry Agency (SSB) signed key contracts covering ballistic gear, weapon systems, simulators, and helicopters — including 57 GÖKBEYs and a new T-70 Simulator Project.

Defense Industry President Haluk Görgün announced that IDEF 2025 hosts over 400 international companies from 44 countries, solidifying its place among the world’s top five defense exhibitions.

SSB President Haluk Görgün said Türkiye’s defense and aerospace exports rose 25% to $3.603B in January–June, with June up 10.4% and the 12-month total at $7.454B.

ASELSAN and Türkiye’s Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB) signed a $71,886,091 contract for Next-Generation Network-Centric Military Communication Systems, with deliveries scheduled between 2025 and 2028.

HAVELSAN’s medium-class unmanned ground vehicle BARKAN is set to enter mass production following its proven success and positive field performance, as approved by the Defense Industry Agency (SSB).

German Chief of Defense Gen. Carsten Breuer visited Ankara at the invitation of Turkish Chief of General Staff Gen. Metin Gürak, holding key meetings at the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB), ASELSAN, and TUSAŞ to discuss defense technology cooperation and strategic partnership opportunities.

At the ASDA-2025 Adriatic Defense and Aerospace Exhibition in Zagreb, Turkish defense companies — including SSB, ASFAT, MKE, and Baykar — showcased their latest technologies. Drawing participants from over 30 countries, the event highlighted themes of digitalization, sustainability, and green energy, where Turkish products attracted significant attention.

Following reciprocal visits by Presidents Erdoğan and Prabowo, Turkish defense firms are accelerating cooperation in Indonesia. ASELSAN has opened its Indonesia branch, HAVELSAN is establishing a local office, and TUSAŞ continues joint projects including ANKA and modernization programs.
