BREAKING NEWS
One of the prominent projects of the Turkish defense industry, the domestically developed Pusat armored vehicle, has successfully completed its mine blast tests. According to information provided by TÜMOSAN General Manager Halim Tosun, the Pusat was developed with a high rate of local production, including its engine, transmission, and mission equipment. The successful test results not only proved the vehicle’s battlefield durability but also highlighted Turkey’s steady progress toward defense industry localization.
Building on its decades-long experience in agricultural machinery, TÜMOSAN has taken significant steps into the defense sector. In addition to the Pusat armored vehicle, the company is also carrying out projects in air and naval defense systems, showcasing its versatile capabilities within the defense industry. Designed with domestic engineering, the Pusat stands out as a vehicle that meets international standards in both protection and mobility, strengthening its position as a reliable combat platform.
Beyond defense, TÜMOSAN’s achievements in agriculture also remain noteworthy. The company produces nearly 200 tractor models ranging from 50 to 105 horsepower, offering one of the most diverse product lines in the domestic market. Between April and September 2020, TÜMOSAN increased its tractor sales by 113 percent, capitalizing on rising demand for agricultural machinery during the pandemic. This success demonstrates the company’s dual contribution to both national defense and agricultural development.
The Pusat’s success in mine blast testing, coupled with TÜMOSAN’s multi-sectoral growth, is considered a strong indicator that the company will play an even more influential role in future defense projects.
