Huğlu Savunma AŞ Board Chairman Abdüssamet Güzel stated that the company's "Mohaç" and "Ovis" weapons are experiencing significant international demand. The company exports to various countries, with the United States as a primary market. Last year, Huğlu Savunma achieved approximately 13 million dollars in export revenue and expects 20 percent growth this year, driven largely by new product contributions.
Huğlu Savunma holds a significant position in Turkey's defense industry ecosystem, specializing in civilian and military weapons manufacturing. The company's products are designed and tested to international standards. Board Chairman Güzel emphasized that new products contribute substantially to the company's growth strategy and outlined plans to expand production capacity. Civilian and military markets, as well as specialized security forces, represent key customer segments for the company's portfolio.
The 9mm "Mohaç" submachine gun is manufactured in fully automatic versions for military use and semi-automatic versions for civilian applications. The weapon has been exported to Germany, Poland, and Malaysia, with exports to the United States set to commence shortly. Huğlu Savunma targets monthly production of 1,000 units. The "Mohaç" is undergoing testing for use by police, military, and specialized security forces in several European countries and has been displayed at various defense exhibitions.
The "Ovis" precision rifle, named after the Anatolian wild sheep, is exported through both civilian and military channels. The weapon successfully engaged targets at ranges between 600 and 1,200 meters during precision shooting competitions held in İzmir Foça and has been delivered to the Nigerian Navy. The hunting variant is exported to the United States, and Huğlu Savunma maintains monthly production capacity of 500 units. The company is developing different caliber variants of the "Ovis".
Turkish defense industry has made significant strides in civilian and military weapons manufacturing in recent years. Companies like Huğlu Savunma develop internationally competitive products through localization and research and development initiatives. Weapons such as "Mohaç" and "Ovis" increase diversity in Turkey's defense exports and enable market expansion. Standard military sales procedures, including technical specifications and procurement processes, ensure product quality and reliability.
