BREAKING NEWS
HAVELSAN has formally validated its alignment with international innovation standards by obtaining the TS EN ISO 56001 Innovation Management System Certificate from the Turkish Standards Institution (TSE). The certification confirms that the company’s innovation processes are structured, measurable, and geared toward continuous improvement—marking HAVELSAN as the first software company in Türkiye to meet the standard.
At a ceremony held at HAVELSAN’s campus with TSE President Mahmut Sami Şahin and HAVELSAN General Manager Mehmet Akif Nacar in attendance, speakers emphasized that ISO 56001 is more than a compliance badge. By institutionalizing innovation governance, the framework helps organizations manage uncertainty, improve competitiveness, reduce costs, and advance sustainability goals—while also easing regulatory alignment and making it easier to attract talent and build partnerships.
ISO 56001 provides a holistic management system that connects an organization’s innovation vision, strategy, policies, and objectives to the supporting processes and resources required to deliver results. In practice, this means defining the full innovation lifecycle from idea to commercialization, managing risks and opportunities, establishing performance metrics, and leveraging internal knowledge and creativity through collaboration with stakeholders. For HAVELSAN—active across defense software, command-and-control, simulation, cybersecurity, and security solutions—the standard is set to sharpen product roadmaps, accelerate technology maturity, and scale ecosystem cooperation across suppliers and research partners.
The certification is expected to translate into tangible competitive advantages in both domestic programs and international tenders where demonstrable institutional innovation capability is increasingly required. Internally, HAVELSAN plans to spread the framework across units to strengthen idea pipelines, speed up experiment–learn cycles, prioritize portfolios with clearer criteria, and tighten intellectual property strategy. Together, these steps aim to deliver a more agile, scalable, and sustainable innovation architecture that supports HAVELSAN’s growth trajectory in high-technology markets.
