BREAKING NEWS
The YİÇİR Project (Local Counter-UAV Radar Systems) is a domestic radar-based security initiative developed to address the rapidly growing threat posed by unmanned aerial vehicles. Designed to detect UAVs flying at low altitude, low speed, and with small radar cross-sections, the project aims to deliver early warning and real-time situational awareness for a wide range of environments—from military installations to critical civilian infrastructure. At a glance, YİÇİR stands out as a rapidly deployable system capable of continuous surveillance, tailored to meet modern security requirements.
From a technical perspective, the YİÇİR Project features advanced signal-processing algorithms, low-altitude optimization, and a radar architecture resilient to electronic interference. The system can accurately distinguish mini and micro UAVs from environmental clutter, providing real-time target data to command-and-control centers. Developed under the leadership of ASELSAN, this approach strengthens Türkiye’s counter-UAV capabilities while ensuring compatibility with integrated air defense and security architectures. YİÇİR is not merely a radar solution; it is a strategic security project that combines persistent surveillance, rapid detection, and effective decision support, all of which are essential in today’s evolving threat landscape.
