The Early Warning Radar System (EWRS) is a new generation S-Band radar type developed for long-range early warning purposes and equipped with AESA and digital beamforming antenna technology. EWRS enables the detection and tracking of air targets, as well as ballistic missiles and low RCS targets equipped with stealth technology, from long distances. The system has the ability to form multiple beams simultaneously. It has the capability to use meteorological data to enhance detection and tracking performance. EWRS can be transported on communication, command-control power subsystems, and tactical vehicles.
Therefore, there is no need for any disassembly or assembly program for the system's collection and installation processes. The system can operate integrated with existing radar networks and can deliver the air picture to other systems, control centers, alert bases, and relevant government agencies via radio and radio links in the AWCIES message format. The early warning radar system, especially for the critical issue of ballistic missile defense, has integrated features such as data fusion, target transfer, and information sharing with other systems.
