Rotary barrel weapon systems are high-speed machine guns with multiple barrels, capable of firing at a high rate per minute. They can be mounted on a fixed platform, integrated into artillery and observation towers, or incorporated into various operational vehicles. These systems can operate autonomously or manually and come in different variants. The 20MM Rotary Barrel Weapon System developed by MKEK (Mechanical and Chemical Industry Corporation) aims to address the operational gaps and equipment needs of the Turkish Armed Forces. This system's prototype is produced using 100% local resources and human labor, making it suitable for use on land, sea, and air vehicles. 

All design and technical details have been completed, and static and dynamic analyses have been conducted, resulting in the creation of a demonstration prototype. MKEK has developed prototypes with 20 mm and 3-barrel guns in different systems, which will initially undergo testing on land platforms and later be integrated into aircraft.
