MAM-L is a laser-guided smart miniature munition designed for small-scale air-to-ground operations. Measuring around one meter in length with a diameter of 160 mm and weighing approximately 22 kilograms, it has no propulsion system — meaning it is not a missile. Instead, it functions as a glide or free-fall smart bomb, making it ideal for platforms with limited payload capacity such as UAVs and light attack aircraft.
One of the key advantages of MAM-L is its high-precision strike capability and multiple warhead options. It can be equipped with fragmentation, thermobaric, or armor-piercing warheads, allowing it to effectively engage lightly armored or unarmored vehicles, personnel, fixed structures, and even certain armored targets. Using a semi-active laser seeker and, in some variants, GPS/INS support, MAM-L can achieve strike ranges of up to 15 km. Once the target is laser-designated, the munition delivers accurate hits on both stationary and moving targets.
