The Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB) is one of Türkiye’s most critical institutions responsible for meeting strategic defense and security needs. Operating under the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye, SSB focuses on ensuring that the requirements of the Turkish Armed Forces and other security agencies are fulfilled through indigenous and national capabilities. In this role, SSB defines defense industry policies, develops long-term roadmaps, and leads projects aimed at reducing external dependency. The responsibilities of the Presidency of Defence Industries extend far beyond procurement activities.
