The Bayraktar Akıncı, developed by Baykar Defense, is a High-Altitude Long-Endurance (HALE) class armed unmanned aerial vehicle from Turkey. It was first included in the inventory of the Turkish Armed Forces in August 2021. Akıncı is notable for its air-to-air combat capabilities, classifying it as an Offensive Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). It is equipped with electronic support and countermeasure systems, dual satellite communication systems, air-to-air radar, collision avoidance radar, and a nationally developed synthetic aperture radar. The Akıncı comes in three different variants, each with different engines: Akıncı A, B, and C.

Development Process:

• Initial Images: First surfaced in news in June 2018.
• Motor Selection: Started with the Ivchenko-Progress AI-450C motor in August 2019.
• First Flight: Completed its first flight on December 6, 2019.
