Initially launched as an engineering initiative for the automotive industry, Baykar’s efforts—fueled by the contributions of young generation engineers—have taken flight, establishing the company as one of the few global producers of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Throughout the production of Türkiye’s first indigenous and national UAVs, confidence in domestic engineering talent and intellectual capital has always served as the main driving force.

The continued success of defense technologies, both included in the Turkish Armed Forces inventory and exported abroad, stems from a consistent culture of development and production.

Within the Baykar R&D Center, accredited by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, efforts are focused on designing advanced technologies capable of redefining paradigms in aerospace with an original and national vision.

Through a results-oriented mindset and highly motivated team collaboration, research and production processes are carried out in an integrated manner, enabling the dynamic implementation of new technologies.

Beyond design, production, and development activities, Baykar also strives to increase awareness and ownership of unmanned and autonomous technologies across military, industrial stakeholders, and all segments of society.

With R&D activities fully funded by internal resources, Baykar has achieved numerous firsts in the history of Turkish aviation and defense industries, reaching a domestic contribution rate of 93%.
