An evaluation meeting on Türkiye’s National Combat Aircraft KAAN was held at Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) with the participation of SSB President Haluk Görgün and Air Force Commander Gen. Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu.

Breaking export records in 2024, Turkey’s defense industry drew global attention as its indigenous products reached more than 180 countries worldwide.

Defense Industry Agency President Haluk Görgün revealed KAAN’s second prototype, announcing plans for delivery in 2028 and integration of a domestic engine in the 2030s. Strong export growth goals were also highlighted.

Türkiye’s national combat aircraft KAAN is being equipped with TÜBİTAK-developed avionics and critical systems, enhancing its stealth and combat capabilities.

SMEs contributing to the KAAN project are boosting Türkiye’s defense industry capabilities while creating new opportunities and partnerships in the sector.

Developed by TUSAŞ, the National Combat Aircraft KAAN successfully completed its first flight over Ankara on February 21, marking a historic milestone for Türkiye.

ASELSAN announced that the National Combat Aircraft KAAN will be enhanced with advanced avionics and defense systems, elevating it to the “BİLGE KAAN” level.
