Ambassador Talip Küçükcan met with Indonesia’s Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin to discuss the implementation of the Strategic Defense Cooperation MoU signed on February 12 and new joint defense initiatives.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte praised the strength of Turkey’s defense industry, emphasizing the impressive foundation built by hundreds of research organizations and thousands of innovative companies.

Defense Industry Agency (SSB) President Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün announced that Turkey is now the world’s 11th largest defense exporter, surpassing $7 billion in exports — over half of which went to NATO allies.

The TSSK Project Market, one of Turkey’s key defense industry events, will be held on February 15 in Ankara, featuring over 100 companies and 400 R&D projects.

Turkey and Malaysia signed 10 key defense agreements at LIMA 2019, covering technology transfer, joint production and information sharing. The collaborations span aviation, naval platforms and rocket technologies.
