BREAKING NEWS
A significant industrial investment that will contribute to Türkiye’s defense and aerospace ecosystem has officially been launched. Kale ANDAR, established through the strategic partnership between Kale Group and ANDAR, inaugurated its new production facility in the OSTİM industrial zone in Ankara while also officially introducing the Kale ANDAR brand. The opening ceremony was attended by the President of the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB), Haluk Görgün, alongside senior executives from Kale Group, company partners, representatives of public institutions, and numerous stakeholders from the defense industry ecosystem.
During his speech at the ceremony, Haluk Görgün emphasized that Türkiye’s achievements in the defense industry have been made possible thanks to the strong support and confidence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in the country’s defense sector and Turkish engineers. Görgün highlighted that OSTİM has become a critical incubation center for the Turkish defense industry. He also noted that ANDAR, which began its journey in 2012, has steadily strengthened its capabilities in designing and producing electromecanical systems such as actuators and motor drivers, which are vital components for both manned and unmanned aerial platforms. According to Görgün, the strategic partnership with Kale Group will help elevate the company to a new level in terms of technology and production capabilities.
Osman Okyay, Vice Chairman of Kale Group and Chairman of the Board of Kale ANDAR, stated that the strength of nations in today’s defense industry is no longer measured solely by the platforms they produce. Instead, the true competitive advantage lies in the strength of the production ecosystem, engineering expertise, and the resilience of the supply chain supporting these platforms. Okyay emphasized that the newly opened facility represents more than just an investment; it symbolizes Türkiye’s determination to strengthen its industrial and technological capabilities. The goal is to expand research and development efforts in parallel with production capacity while ensuring high-quality standards, testing discipline, and reliable delivery processes.
Reşat Hakan Avcı, Co-Founder and General Manager of Kale ANDAR, explained that the company has focused on developing critical subsystems used in defense and aerospace platforms since its establishment. Initially prioritizing engineering design and technological capability, the company gradually expanded into production as demand increased. Today, Kale ANDAR develops electromecanical solutions for a wide range of applications, including unmanned systems, manned platforms, smart munitions, and critical flight systems. With Kale Group’s strategic investment, the company aims to further enhance its engineering strength and industrial production capacity under the Kale ANDAR brand.
Founded in 2012 to develop indigenous electromecanical system solutions, ANDAR has played an important role in meeting the Turkish defense and aerospace industry’s need for critical subsystems. The company entered international markets in 2022 by initiating export activities. A major milestone in its growth journey came during the IDEF 2025 International Defense Industry Fair, where the strategic partnership agreement with Kale Group was signed. This collaboration brings together the engineering expertise and manufacturing capabilities of both organizations, aiming to create a stronger technological structure within the defense and aerospace ecosystem.
Currently, Kale ANDAR operates in three different locations in Ankara: ODTÜ Teknokent, İvedik Technopark, and the newly opened OSTİM production facility. With a workforce of approximately 160 engineers and production specialists, the company conducts operations within 2,396 square meters of active indoor space and plans to expand with an additional 2,000 square meters in the future. This facility is expected to significantly increase Türkiye’s domestic production capability for electromecanical subsystems used in defense and aerospace platforms.
