During the EFES 2026 Exercise held under Turkish leadership, Greek military personnel visited the ASELSAN booth at the defense industry exhibition and examined Turkey's first autonomous kamikaze underwater vehicle, KILIÇ. This moment demonstrated the level of deterrence achieved by Turkish defense technology and how closely regional actors monitor these developments.

Havelsan's Bluevision system leverages artificial intelligence and computer vision technologies to transform maritime safety. Capable of detecting small vessels and people in water that radar systems may miss, the system is now operational aboard Turkish Navy platforms and commercial vessels.

Software development company HAVELSAN has launched BLUEVISION, an AI-powered system designed to enhance maritime awareness and safety. By integrating camera and AIS sensor data in real-time, the system is now operational on the Turkish Navy's SANCAR armed unmanned surface vessel and commercial shipping platforms.

Developed with indigenous and national resources, MKE's intelligent seabed mine MALAMAN can detect targets at long range using acoustic, magnetic, and pressure sensors. The approximately 600-kilogram system can be deployed from ships, submarines, and aircraft including unmanned platforms.

The indigenous Karayel assault craft, integrated into the Turkish Armed Forces inventory in December 2025, completed its first operational mission during the EFES-2026 exercise. The 17-person crew vessel conducted boarding, disembarkation, and navigation drills with amphibious naval infantry and crew personnel at Bahadır Island.

STM will take an active role in the EFES-2026 Exercise with autonomous swarm-capable KARGU kamikaze UAVs and national warships. The MİLGEM Ada-class corvette and submarines will also participate in the exercise.

Malaysia's Maritime Safety Agency will procure HAVELSAN BAHA unmanned aerial vehicles to operate from multi-purpose vessels built by DESAN shipyard. The vertical takeoff-landing platform will support maritime security operations.

Leaders from Turkey's defense industry emphasized the critical importance of artificial intelligence, research and development, and ecosystem collaboration at the National Technology Summit held in cooperation with Turkey Technology Team Foundation and METU.
