BREAKING NEWS
Turkey’s leading simulation systems manufacturer HAVELSAN has taken a major step to strengthen its position in the global rotorcraft simulation market. The company signed a strategic partnership agreement with Advanced Rotorcraft Technology (ART), a California-based firm recognized as one of the world’s leading specialists in rotorcraft simulation and engineering analysis.
Under the scope of this agreement, the engineering teams of both companies will work closely on rotorcraft analysis and simulation technologies. The cooperation will primarily focus on supporting the development of next-generation pilot training simulators. By combining HAVELSAN’s internationally proven simulator infrastructure with ART’s advanced flight physics and rotor modeling technologies, highly realistic simulation environments will be created for helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and VTOL platforms.
As part of the collaboration, high-fidelity rotorcraft flight dynamics and engine models developed by ART will be integrated into HAVELSAN’s simulator systems. This integration will ensure the highest standards of realism and accuracy in model validation processes. In addition, both companies will cooperate in simulator qualification, certification, and customer acceptance procedures, which are critical for military and civil aviation training systems.
ART’s ability to mathematically model complex rotor physics with exceptional precision will significantly enhance the real-world fidelity of HAVELSAN’s simulators. This capability will allow pilots to experience flight behavior that closely matches actual aircraft performance, particularly in challenging flight regimes. The partnership will also expand HAVELSAN’s portfolio with new capabilities, especially for training simulators of foreign-origin rotorcraft platforms.
HAVELSAN, which offers a broad range of simulator solutions for both military and civil aviation—from basic trainer aircraft to the world’s most complex combat and commercial aircraft—aims to bring together critical competencies from design to simulation through this partnership. The agreement stands out as a strategic development not only for HAVELSAN but also for the global rotorcraft simulation and defense industry ecosystem.
