BREAKING NEWS
The Turkish defense industry’s capabilities in secure communication technologies have once again been validated internationally at NATO CWIX 2026, one of the Alliance’s most important interoperability events. CTech, a subsidiary of Turkish Aerospace Industries, successfully tested its SecureARX jam-resistant SATCOM modem during NATO CWIX 2026. As a result of the technical verification activities, SecureARX demonstrated that it can operate in harmony with NATO and allied countries’ systems.
CTech, which develops satellite and line-of-sight communication solutions for defense and aviation, stands out among companies offering indigenous and reliable technologies in mission-critical communications. The SecureARX modem family was developed to provide secure and uninterrupted satellite communication, especially in operational environments where jamming threats are intense. This capability is critically important in the modern battlespace for command and control, intelligence transmission, unmanned system management and joint operations.
CWIX, organized under the leadership of NATO Allied Command Transformation, is considered one of the most comprehensive technical activities aimed at verifying the interoperability of NATO and partner countries’ command-control systems and communication infrastructures. During the event, systems developed by different countries, public institutions and defense industry companies are tested through a “test, improve, retest” approach based on real operational scenarios. This structure measures not only whether defense systems perform individually, but also whether they can operate seamlessly in joint missions with allied elements.
CTech’s participation in interoperability tests with SecureARX alongside systems from different countries at CWIX 2026 marked an important stage in demonstrating the product’s compliance with NATO standards and its usability in international mission environments. The successful completion of the tests reinforced SecureARX’s capability to provide secure, resilient and uninterrupted SATCOM communications. This result also showed that Türkiye’s national engineering capacity in satellite communication and secure data transmission has gained recognition on international platforms.
CTech CEO Dr. Cüneyd Fırat emphasized that interoperability is one of the fundamental requirements of today’s defense operations. Fırat stated that it is not enough for communication systems to deliver high performance; they must also be able to operate smoothly with the systems of allied countries in joint missions. The successful completion of NATO CWIX 2026 tests by SecureARX was described as an important indicator of the level reached by CTech’s technologies developed in line with international standards.
This success strengthens CTech’s position in the international defense ecosystem while also increasing the export and cooperation potential of the Turkish defense industry in communication technologies. The SecureARX modem family’s ability to provide interoperable communication solutions may offer significant advantages for allied task forces, unmanned platforms, air-naval-land assets and command-control centers operating in crisis regions. CTech’s achievement at CWIX 2026 is considered an important development that reinforces Türkiye’s position not only as a user, but also as a provider of mission-critical communication solutions at international standards.
