Prof. Dr. Faruk Yiğit said Türkiye is strengthening its deterrence capacity through national missile projects, with new systems entering service and more advanced programs under development.

Türkiye is developing indigenous ballistic missiles with a range of up to 2,000 kilometers as part of efforts to strengthen its deterrence and defense capabilities, Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır said.

Türkiye’s indigenous unmanned aerial platforms Bayraktar AKINCI and Bayraktar KIZILELMA continue their successful testing processes. AKINCI has reached 150,000 flight hours, while KIZILELMA is expected to enter service in 2026.

Developed by Baykar, the Bayraktar AKINCI UCAV has surpassed 150,000 flight hours. The advanced unmanned combat aerial vehicle continues operational missions and integration tests with new indigenous systems and munitions.
