BREAKING NEWS
One of the flagship achievements of Türkiye’s defense industry, the T129 ATAK attack helicopter, has reached a new milestone with its delivery to the Philippines. The announcement was made by Defense Industry President İsmail Demir via social media, marking a significant step in Türkiye’s growing role as a defense exporter.
The ATAK, developed with Türkiye’s indigenous capabilities, combines high performance, advanced technology, and unique design features, making it highly effective in challenging operational environments. To date, nearly 70 ATAK helicopters have been delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces, where they have played a critical role in both cross-border operations and internal security missions.
With this latest delivery, ATAK is set to enhance the Philippines’ security and counterterrorism operations, expanding its international footprint. This step not only reinforces Türkiye’s defense export capacity but also solidifies ATAK’s position as a competitive and trusted platform in the global defense market.
The deployment of ATAK helicopters in the Philippines is viewed as a clear reflection of Türkiye’s vision for indigenous and national defense production. It also strengthens Türkiye’s image as a reliable defense supplier in the international arena.
