Global defense technology trends are fundamentally transforming modern defense concepts in line with evolving threat perceptions and rapidly advancing digital technologies. Military superiority is no longer defined solely by firepower, but increasingly by capabilities such as data dominance, speed, autonomy, and system integration. Artificial intelligence–enabled systems, unmanned platforms, and cyber defense solutions have become priority investment areas for modern armed forces. In the short term, these technologies enhance operational efficiency; in the long term, they carry the potential to reshape global power balances.

From a more technical perspective, global defense technology trends are concentrated around autonomous weapon systems, hypersonic missiles, AI-based decision-support mechanisms, space-based surveillance systems, and cyber warfare capabilities. The concept of multi-domain operations, in particular, requires land, air, naval, cyber, and space assets to be employed simultaneously within a single network-centric structure.
