Launched in 2015 by the Mexican Air Force and the Ministry of National Defense, FAMEX was established to advance Mexico’s aerospace industry and position the country as a global aerospace hub. The planning and execution of the event are managed by the FAMEX Committee.

The main objective of FAMEX is to create a high-prestige, internationally recognized, and sustainable aerospace exhibition in Mexico, attract foreign direct investment, generate employment in the national aerospace sector, and promote Mexico’s civil and military aviation, defense, security, and aerospace technologies worldwide.

Thanks to its state-backed structure, FAMEX stands out not only as a regional event but also as a unique global exhibition organized directly by a country’s armed forces.

FAMEX serves as a key showcase for Mexico’s defense and security capabilities. The direct involvement of the armed forces in organizing the event makes it a highly credible and strategic meeting point for international defense and aerospace companies. It is also considered a gateway to the Latin American defense and aerospace market.

The 6th edition of FAMEX will take place from Wednesday, April 23 to Saturday, April 26, 2025.
