Turkish Aerospace and TEI signed a contract for the supply of 100 TEI-PD170 turbodiesel aviation engines for ANKA and AKSUNGUR UAVs.

Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi said the delivery of AKSUNGUR, ATAK, and T-70 platforms to the police inventory reflects Türkiye’s rise as a country that helps shape the defense industry.

Developed by TUSAŞ, the AKSUNGUR UAV achieved precise strikes using ASELSAN’s LGK81 and LGK82 laser-guided munitions during a test flight powered by a national engine. The success highlights Türkiye’s growing self-sufficiency in defense technology.
