The Defense Industry Agency and ASELSAN have signed a contract valued at 1.47 billion euros for continued production and additional capabilities of the ÇELİKKUBBE multi-layered air defense system.

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte described Turkey's defense industry structure as an exemplary model for allies at the Ankara Summit. Rutte noted that several NATO members are examining whether they can adapt this model to their own countries.

During the NATO Summit in Ankara, executives from ROKETSAN and ASELSAN emphasized that Turkish defense industry possesses production capacity to meet allied needs. The sector maintains a strong position with annual exports exceeding $11 billion.

ASELSAN General Manager Haluk Akyol announced at the Defense Industry Forum that more than 50 percent of last year's exports went to NATO-aligned countries. The company is investing in artificial intelligence and quantum processor technology while taking on responsibility for LEO satellite communication network design.

NATO signed a $26.2 billion agreement for integrated air and missile defense, with Türkiye’s ASELSAN and ROKETSAN set to contribute.

ASELSAN’s ROADGUARD system was deployed at central points in Ankara to strengthen security measures for the NATO Summit.

Turkey's defense and aerospace sector exports reached $10.9 billion in the past 12 months, marking a 47.1% increase. Sales to NATO countries account for 57.3% of total exports.

Turkish defense industry leader ASELSAN has commissioned a new "Smart Ammunition and Subsystems Production and Test Centers" facility with a $40 million investment spanning 17,360 square meters. The facility significantly enhances production capacity and quality assurance capabilities.
