BREAKING NEWS
The Turkish defense industry has once again demonstrated its growing influence in the global market with a major international deal. The Royal Moroccan Armed Forces have signed a $136 million agreement with Türkiye's leading armored vehicle manufacturer Otokar for the procurement of 200 Cobra II 4x4 armored vehicles. The contract not only covers the delivery of the vehicles but also includes spare parts, maintenance equipment, and comprehensive training services for personnel.
Otokar has already delivered nearly 33,000 armored vehicles to more than 40 countries across five continents, establishing a strong reputation worldwide. Its Cobra and Cobra II models have achieved significant success, particularly in Africa and Latin America. Morocco’s decision to expand its fleet with the Cobra II reflects both trust in Turkish defense technology and the competitive strength of Türkiye’s defense industry in the global arena.
The Cobra II stands out with its superior mobility, enhanced ballistic and mine protection, spacious interior, and high payload capacity. Its modular design allows adaptation to a wide range of missions, including border security, internal security operations, and peacekeeping missions. This versatility makes the Cobra II an ideal solution for both conventional military operations and hybrid security environments.
This landmark procurement not only strengthens defense cooperation between Türkiye and Morocco but also further enhances the global prestige of Türkiye's defense sector. With increasing demand for its armored vehicles, Türkiye is consolidating its role as a reliable supplier in the international defense industry.
